Who we are

Concessions.Online started with a band dad in the stands. Paul was at a football game, watching the concession stand get buried in the third quarter, and thought: what if the volunteers spent less time taking orders and more time filling them?

One question led to the next. What if people could support the program with a donation while they ordered? What if the stand could thank its supporters, or the seniors on senior night, right there on the screen? And when he looked at what the big online ticketing platforms take from a school play or a game, often a dollar or more per ticket, the last question was the one that stuck: why is that money coming out of the programs that need it most?

That’s how Concessions.Online was born. It’s run by Armenelli Holdings LLC in Canton, Ohio.

Are we a business?

Yes, a for-profit one, but we run it like a nonprofit. We stay as lean as we can and charge only what it costs to keep the service running. Paul doesn’t take a salary. What you pay covers the hosting, the email and payment plumbing, the programming (yes, AI helps with that) and the humans who test that everything works the way it should. We want your program to keep as much of every dollar as possible.

What we charge

One flat platform fee per card payment, not per ticket and not per item. Right now it’s 10 cents per order, and it’s zero for the organizations helping us test. Cash never carries a fee, and neither do free tickets. The card processor’s own rate is separate and shown to you before you pay.

Our rule is that the fee only ever goes down. Most of what it costs to run the service is fixed, so as more organizations join, the cost of each order falls, and we pass that along. Every change is scheduled for a date and announced to you in advance. Our goal is one cent per order. Against a dollar a ticket, that’s not a small difference, and it grows with every ticket in the order.

The money your supporters spend should go to the people your organization helps.
